Lowen Kaffee in Cologne

For me it's the best coffee in town! The service is great, the coffee is delicious and so are the cakes! My favorite coffee!

Clean and friendly. Unfortunately we had to give the bread back. (No more side dishes.) The side dishes were far too few for 2 people. 2 slices of cheese and sausage and Nutella which was enough for half a roll.

It's been around for a little longer now. Nice cafe with warm ambience. In summer with outside area. Very good coffee. Delicious pies and cakes also vegan. Ambitious weekly menu also with a vegetarian vegan offer. Good breakfast offer. Only the lion phenomenon bothers. If the store is full everything runs like clockwork. Few guests like today ... Then people gossip. Service slow and inattentive. The staff from the beginning was more motivated and somehow a different class. Pity! .

Nice atmosphere with good food

A positive surprise for us! Often walked past it, now a late breakfast. Everything was great, very tasty food, cake and coffee. The Löwenfrühstück for two was perfect, with everything you could wish for (including fresh orange juice and prosecco) and nicely presented. For 22 € a good price / performance ratio ... the atmosphere was also good, even if a bit cooler due to the corona ventilation. The service was nice and polite. Definitely an asset to the area and a good address for breakfast!

The service was great: quick and friendly! We ordered a poppy seed cake and a cheese cake with a latte and a cold brew, which went well with the warm autumn.

Nice atmosphere with good food

I don't know you could say bad about this place, except that the area is a bit dated! It is a beautiful brasserie where we had a fantastic breakfast. All the trimmings for only 11 euros per person. The service was friendly and everything went very smoothly. Very clean toilets, by the way.

Breakfast during the week at 11 o'clock with a relatively long wait and there were no more rolls, only bread. Friendly but easily overwhelmed staff. An additionally requested plate to share the food only came when we had already eaten half of it. The breakfast tasted good, but relatively little for € 9 per dish (coffee costs extra).

Wanted to have breakfast there today. The shop wasn't overly crowded. I sat outside, the staff stood inside gossiping at the counter. After 15 minutes without a service I had enough and left again.

There were three of us there. The staff is friendly and there is the possibility to sit outside in the side street, even in the shade. Had freshly squeezed orange juice and cappuccino both delicious Cappuccino still has some room for improvement, so one star less. Otherwise, the shop has Fritz Kola in its range.

Delicious locally roasted espresso (house mix) with really good crema. Food looks very good, but I haven't tried it yet. Service has always been nice. Would love to come back.

Food was overall good despite the pancake was burned on the bottom. The service is something else. Waitress forgot to bring part of our order. Interrupted me while ordering. We got sent to three different people tring to pay to end up paying with our server (the first person we tried to pay with). Maybe she was having a bad day and this isn't normal... But I'm not sure I'll be back to find out.

After a bad experience on the first visit (for example, unripe avocado) we gave the cafe a second chance. Unfortunately we were disappointed again. The waiting time for the lunch menu was about 45 minutes. The taste was also bad and the portion of quiche with salad (8.90 €) speaks for itself (see picture). We will have to eat something else now.
